Greetings

Our Euro-tour with Total Recall is closing in. It has honestly been a real hassle to put together and unfortanetly we’ve had to drop Poland, Czech Republic and Austria from our original tourplan due to the trouble of getting shows booked. The dilemma of our transportation hasn’t been easy to solve either. But we are more than happy with the current situation, we got the nicest of people putting us up shows in three different countries, and for us to get a change to do a tour like this, expecially when we get to do it with such good people as Total Recall, it`s just an privilidge for us and we couldn’t be more exited it. If you haven’t checked Total Recall out yet, do yourself the favour by doing so, they are one of the most interesting bands in the Finnish scene today in my own opinion.

Our tour with them looks like this at the moment:

fri 8.6. SWE TBA HELP NEEDED!!
sat 9.6. SWE Jönköping @ Kulturhuset Insikten w/ Total Recall
sun 10.6. SWE Göteborg @ Härden w/ Total Recall
mon 11.6. DEN Copenhagen @ Bumzen w/ Total Recall
tue 12.6. day off
wed 13.6. GER Halle @ Reil78 w/ Total Recall
thu 14.6. GER Siegburg TBC w/ Total Recall
fri 15.6. GER Berlin @ Koma F w/ Total Recall
sat 16.6. GER Leipzig @ Liwi w/ Total Recall

We’re still missing the starting show of the tour in Sweden on the 8th of June, so if you happen to book or to know someone who book shows in Sweden, particularly near the area of Jönköping, please let us know at antiklimax(at)ruorirecords.com. Any kind of help is more than appreciated and every kind of a hint is more than needed.

We are also at the moment eagelry waiting for the final confirmation of the Siegburg show on the 14th, since it`s still a work in progress. Other than that, the tour looks solid. That is thanks to the people who so work hard to get these shows done in these awesome DIY-venues, but most of all to our dear friend Sini, who has donated a huge amount of her personal time for this tour and whose done the hard work for us by booking the gigs.

We’re sorry to say that we haven`t been able to get the songs for our 7″ recorded as planned before the tour, so we will be leaving with us a CD-press of the “Tyhjyydestä” cassette. First thing after we get back from the tour, we hit the studio to record the 7″ and start working on getting it out. On the plus side, we`ll be making some killer t-shirts with a brand new design for the road.

That’s about it for know. After the tour and once the recordings are done, we are forced to start the mandatory break of ours, lasting atleast up to half a year. We wish all the best to you and hope to see you when we awake from our slumber.

Peace, love and unity.

Starting 2012

Hello people.

We have a bunch of upcoming gigs during the springtime;

We will play our first gig of the year at Vastavirta-Klubi, Tampere on the 4th of February. It will be a somewhat special occasion, seeing that it`s the 30th anniversary of Riistetyt! Needless to say, we are honored and very exited to be given a chance to play with them on this special evening. Lapinpolthajat will be also getting up on the stage, so there is absolutely no reason for staying home that night!

We will also be playing a couple of shows in the beginning of March, Resistori-Klubi, Kuopio on thursday the 1st and La Barre in Joensuu on friday the 2nd. Other bands for those shows will be announced when they are confirmed.

On saturday the 24th of March, we will be playing in Oulu at Ykän Pub with our friends and our mutual favorite band, Arrestum! A couple of local bands will be announced later.

We play a show in Lahti, at Torvi on the 24th of May. Same thing here, we will announce the other bands when we know more. Hyped about this one too, our first trip to Lahti!

There are some upcoming shows for the spring that aren`t a 100% sure yet, we will post them when and if they confirm. Like it was said in our previous post, the shows that we play in Finland this spring are the last homeland shows before the break we are gonna take after the european tour that is still under progress. No reason to start shouting more about the european-dates now, we will keep you posted when we get the shit together.

If you have a desire to see us play live in your hometown during the spring, we are more than happy to come, just hit us up at antiklimax@ruorirecords.com

OK, that`s it for now. Peace and take care.

2011

2011 is coming to an end and we here at camp Antiklimax see it proper to take a stroll down the memory lane and have a shoutout to all the people that made this year so supercool for us. We got a chance to play at some really awesome fests during the year, Puntala-Rock, Petonipunk, Patch-Fest III and Crustoberfest both in Luleå and in Oulu, and the first big shoutout goes to all the people in charge of putting up these festivals and for having us play amongst the real bands. Thank you!

We got a chance to do a bunch other really enjoyable shows and trips, next big thanks goes to all the people that helped our summertour of northern Sweden and Finland come together, people that helped book the shows and gave us more hospitality than what we ever expected. Thanx to everyone else who helped us play live over the year and to all the people that came to the gigs, we had a blast.

We wrapped the year up for Antiklimax a couple of weeks ago when we played our 25th show in Seinäjoki at the Alakulaus-Bar with Psykopaatos and Raivotauti. It was a swinging way to end the year and settle down to start planning the next one.

As always, the future is covered by a fine mist of could-be’s and maybes, but we know one thing for sure. Antiklimax is going to go on a hiatus starting next summer, lasting from six months up. But before we are forced to take that break, we got some plans to fullfill.

We are currently putting together an European tour that would take place in the beginning of summer 2012. Not much can be said for sure at the time this is being written since it’s a work in progress, but we are working towards it. An euro-tour, and touring outside of Finland has been a “goal” of the band from the beginning and so we are trying our best to get it done before the mandatory break.

So if you have an interest in seeing us play live, we suggest you come to the shows next year since after the tour it`s going to be a lot quietter at camp Antiklimax for a while.

Besides the tour, we have been making plans for our next release. It will (by all likeliness) be out before the next summer and it will come out in vinyl. The inch-size may very been 10″ and a 12″ depending on a lot things, but we have set our minds on a vinyl release. But as allways, more of that when it comes in.

OK, that was 2011 then. Hope you didn’t have a crappy year either and if you did, we hope for the next one to be better. If you happen to be into christmas and that sort of thing we wish you a merry one and if not, then business as usual.

Much love.

Heartfelt thanks

Hi!

First of all a thousand thanks goes out to Henkka and rest of the AKL-people responsible for the show at Rauhanasema on friday the 30th of Sebtember, it was a blast! Our thanks go out also to the people who came to the show and who moshed HARD! It was the best time we’ve had playing so far and it’s all thanks to the crowd, it was insane. Thanks!

We posted a short history of Antiklimax to the site, you can find it here, if you happen to be interested in how we became a band and what we have been doing until now.

In our last post we promised a tour raport from our trip to northern Sweden & Finland with photos. The raport has been written and it will be released, but in a different way. We wont be posting it here any time soon. When it comes out, we’ll inform you on where you can read it. Anyway we are posting some photos from tour when we have time to check ‘em out!

We got a bunch of shows coming up next month, we will be playing four shows and all of them with our good friends, Psykopaatos. We play together at Patch Fest III in Vastavirta-Klubi on saturday the 5th (two-day festival starting on friday, loads of cool bands, check them out here for example), Freetime-bar in Jyväskylä on thursday the 10th, Resistori-Klubi in Kuopio on thursday the 17th (+Sold Out and one new local band called Dwerggans which is their first show) and La Barre in Joensuu on friday the 18th (+Sold OutMastodontti).

So if the Anunnaki-agenda hasn’t blown to our faces by then and we are not mandatorily pushing out reptilian-babies and being enslaved by our shapeshifting masters, we will see on those shows!

We got the (new) website up! Few upcomin’ gigs: We will be playing at Vastavirta-klubi, Tampere on the thursday 25th with Psykopaatos and Katekismus. We will also be playing at a benefit show for AKL in Helsinki with Urban UnrestViimeiset Sekunnit and one band yeat to be confirmed at Rauhanasema.

Plus we will soon be posting a raport from our small northern Sweden-Finland-tour that we did last month with some pretty cool photos included, so stay tuned.
